A curated 3-day architecture experience through the city of Sydney: Exploring a range of iconic projects and hidden architectural gems, discussing and contemplating the intent behind each design.

Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Harbour & City
We will begin with Sydney’s most iconic spaces at the harbor and surrounding parks, museums and markets: understanding how this architecture shapes the identity and influenced the city. Visiting works completed by architects such as Jørn Utzon, Kengo Kuma, and Renzo Piano.
Day 2: Contemporary & Expressive
The next day brings a deep dive into contemporary architecture: exploring the playful forms, materiality, and some of the most innovative and unique projects to the city, finishing with a dinner at one of Sydney’s most unique restaurant. Visiting works completed by architects such as Frank Gehry, Koichi Takada, and Jean Nouvel.
Day 3: Atmosphere & Experience
The final day slows the pace, focusing on the more subtle and experiential qualities within their design intent, exploring spaces that reflect on the experience for the user through public interaction and housing. Visiting works by architects such as Angelo Candalepas, Tao Gofers and Tonkin Zulaikha Greer.

Price:
$360 non-students $220 students
Accommodation will be booked after confirmation at an extra cost, subject to personal budget.
Flights (if required) and all other expenses such as food, public transport, goodies are not included.
Your Host
Lachie McKern is an experienced Senior Graduate of Architecture (with Distinction) and content creator, with a love for architecture and drawing, and over five years of industry experience across design practice and architectural education.
His work bridges the gap between academic exploration and real-world application, with national recognition for his work. With a love for design, and professional experience in practice, this has shaped a perspective on architecture that is both analytical and experiential.

Not at all. The experience is designed to be engaging whether you’re a student or just interested in learning about architecture.

A detailed itinerary is shared after booking. The experience is curated intentionally, but also part of it is discovering the spaces as we travel to each destination.

The tour fees do NOT include your flights or accommodation, flights are to be booked by yourself if required. Accommodation will be pre-booked as a group at an extra expense. The cost of this will be at discretion of each individuals budget.
